PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composition with which highly efficient photon up-conversion of a near infrared ray with a wavelength stably exceeding 800 nm into a visible ray is achieved.SOLUTION: A photon up-conversion composition includes: a donor molecule which is converted into an excited triplet state after absorbing light and functions as a sensitizer; and an acceptor molecule which is converted into an excited singlet state after receiving triplet energy transfer from the donor molecule and functions as a light emitter. In the photon up-conversion composition, (a) the donor molecule is a naphthalocyanine derivative, or an osmium complex having a terpyridine derivative and a bipyridine derivative as ligands, and (b) the acceptor molecule is at least a compound selected from a terylene diimide derivative, a naphthacene derivative and a porphyrin derivative.SELECTED DRAWING: None |
