PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water heater that can prevent, as much as possible, a user, etc. from releasing an information operation for providing information to prompt inspection.SOLUTION: In a water heater 1, a heat exchanger and a combustion apparatus for heating the heat exchanger are accommodated in a casing 11, and a remote controller 7 for starting an information operation for providing information to prompt inspection at inspection timing and continuing the information operation until it is released is provided outside the casing 11. The casing 11 includes: an opening 15 formed on a front surface thereof; and a lid 14 fixed to close the opening 15.
