A cover 204 for providing protection to a kerbstone 201 is located over the kerbstone so that an upper surface 205 and first side 206 of the kerbstone are at least partially covered by the cover. A lowermost part 901 of the cover is at least partially enclosed between the first side of the kerbstone and adjacent road surfacing material. A further part of the cover 303 may extend over a second side of the kerbstone. The cover may be angled at bend 701. The cover is preferably made from a resilient, thermoplastic material such as HDPE or polypropylene so that it can spring and grip onto the kerb. The upper part of the cover may be cut from the lower, embedded part so that it can be removed. In use, the cover temporarily protects the kerb from construction traffic. |
