PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steering device which inhibits variation of a displacement load during a secondary collision in a structure including a tooth lock mechanism.SOLUTION: A tooth lock mechanism 40 includes: a first tooth formation member 41 which integrally moves with an upper jacket 7; and a second tooth formation member 42 including a pair of connection parts 50, which are disposed between a pair of fastened parts 19 of a lower jacket 8 and define a storage space S therebetween, the second tooth formation member 42 supported by a support shaft 43 supported by the lower jacket 8. The tooth lock mechanism 40 includes: a driving member 44 which integrally rotates with a fastening shaft 21; and a connection shaft 45 which connects the driving member 44 with the second tooth formation member 42. The connection shaft 45 includes: a pair of first portions 45a inserted into first connection holes 51 to be connected thereto; a second portion 45b disposed in the storage space S and inserted into a second connection hole 52 to be connected thereto; and third portions 45c which are disposed at both sides of the second portion 45b in the storage space S and break during a secondary collision.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5 |
