The hammer and the anvil rotate about a common axis, the latter fitting over a bolt head and having a mouth in which a coupling pin in the hammer slides under the action of a control so as to transmit a bow. A driving disc (61) is solidly secured to the hammer (63) and rotates with the driving spindle (41), having a curved guide track (99) on the side nearest the anvil (33), in which a ball can move through a limited angle in relation to the hammer. A cam sleeve (83) on the portion of the anvil extending towards the disc slides in relation to the anvil but cannot turn on it, having a spiral face (96) working in conjunction with the ball. The cam sleeve is spring-loaded towards the disc, and moves the coupling pin on sliding, but can rotate in relation to it.
