<p>The vertical slider for the outboard drive for the boat has top (14) and bottom (13) sliders which move along vertical g guides (11). The servo drive is by a single hydraulic ram coupled between a pivot support and the sliders. The guide rails have gaps (27) to allow the bottom sliders to swing out of the guides and lift the screw out of the water. The top slider has a pivot mounting to aid the lifting action while the ram can be clamped to the support frame in either the upper or lower setting. The screw is first lifted to its max. setting and then, with the frame secured, swung out of the water. Only a single ram is required.</p> |
