The circuit board incorporates metallised holes (9) for reception of the component lead pins (8). The board is initially coated with an electrically insulating protective lacquer (7) via a spraying or immersion process, followed by insertion of the lead pins (8), so that the lacquer is displaced from each metallised hole (9). Pref. the protective lacquer used remains elastic after it has dried. ADVANTAGE - Logical mfr. eliminating cleaning.
