<p>PURPOSE:To improve the efficiency of data transmission/reception in a data collecting system by automatically accessing a host computer from a portable terminal equipment at optional set time without operator intervention and transmitting/receiving data. CONSTITUTION:The portable terminal equipment is constituted of a data control part 1, a clock part 2, a subpower supply 3, a power supply part 4, a main control part 5, an I/O control part 6, a bar code reader 6a, a keyboard 6b, a data memory 7, a line control part 8, a communication line 9, and a data bus 10. Even when an operator is separated from the portable terminal equipment, the equipment is automatically driven at optional time to transmit/receive data between the equipment and the host computer. Consequently, the degree of freedom in the selection of a time zone for data transmission/reception can be increased and the transmission/reception of data among many portable terminal equipments and the host computer can be decentralized and efficiently executed.</p> |
