PURPOSE:To reduce the thickness of the illuminating device to be used at the time of executing panel illumination with a liquid crystal display device, etc., while uniformizing the brightness distribution. CONSTITUTION:Reflection mirrors, 5a, 5b, 9, 9a are provided movably in a diffusion plate 3 direction. A flexible ray control member 23 may be horizontally moved cooperatively with these reflection mirrors or a light source 6 may be positioned on the outer periphery of the diffusion plate 3 or the positions of the reflection mirrors may be detected by a switch 32 in such a case. A reflecting means 33 having the reflectivity different from the reflecting part 21 of the reflection mirror 9 is provided on the reflection part 21 and the circumference position. |
