<p>PURPOSE:To automatically store a new memory medium by copying to a new memory medium data stored in an old memory medium whose duration of service has expired. CONSTITUTION:When reading data from a memory medium A, an accessor 7 extracts the memory medium A from a warehouse 1, mounts it on a deck 3, and next reads the starting date of memory medium A from a memory section 8, and a service duration calculating section 9 calculates the duration of service. When the duration of service exceeds a prescribed constant value, the accessor 7 takes out a new memory medium B from a warehouse 2, mounts it on a deck 4, reads data from memory medium A, and copies the read data to the memory medium B. Next, the accessor 7 carries the new memory medium B to a label describing section 5, where a volume label for revision is printed on the case for memory medium B, and carries the memory medium B further back to the position in the warehouse 1 where there was the memory medium A before. The old memory medium A is disued from an exhaust port 6.</p> |
