Door lock device with one-motion door opening mechanism

A door lock device has an one-motion door opening mechanism. The door lock device comprises a latch mechanism consisting of a latch 34 and a pawl 51 preventing the latch from reverse-rotating, an outer opening lever 14, a lock lever 41, a link 35 operatively placed between the outer opening lever 14 and the lock lever (41), an inner opening lever 19 connected to the inside opening handle (73) of the vehicle door. When the link 35 it is at the locked condition and the inside opening handle (73) is operated to open the door, the pawl 51 is disengaged from the latch 34 and the link 35 is pressed by a pressing piece 53 to displace it to the unlocked position. When the inside opening handle (73) is excessively rotated the link 35 will not be excessively displaced, due to lost motion between the link 35 and the pressing peace 53. Therefore it is not necessary to provide a space for excessive link movement, enabling the lock to be installed in a narrower space thus making criminal manipulation of the lock less likely.
