<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form images in different formats (e.g. for a customer and for a copy), without making a user require much labor. <P>SOLUTION: A b-th piece of tray information of set contents of printing condition information stored by RAM is read out (S220). Next, printing data are read out from RAM, and format data corresponding to a b-th macro ID of the set contents of the printing condition information are read out from the RAM (S230). Subsequently, the printing data and the format data are merged together for generation of image data (S240). The image is formed, according to the image data, on paper which is fed from a paper feeding tray specified by the b-th piece of tray information.
