A button hole sewing machine is characterized by containing a sewed material stopping part set on an exact position of a sewed material holding plate, being capable of being retrofitted easily in accordance with a special sewing work, reducing cost regulating the sewing machine in accordance with various sewing conditions, increasing mechanical flexibility and preventing a working error. A button hole sewing machine comprises: a sewed material holding plate(17); a hole(18) which is formed on the holding plate, elevating a sewing needle; a stopping part(54) manufactured out of material capable of being cut manually and installed on the sewing machine removably; and a position fixing edge(69,70) which is formed on the stopping part, arranging the sewed material set on the holding plate. The position fixing edge is provided in a working range. The stopping part is characterized by being connected to the holding plate without tools, being set on the holding plate by a protruded insertion connecting part and being set on an exact position of the holding plate by the protruded insertion connecting part containing protrusions(47,48).
