PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing ink having a small amount of air dissolved in the ink without changing physical properties of the ink in ink containing a surfactant as a component. SOLUTION: In producing water-soluble ink for ink-jet recording comprising water, a water-soluble dye, a humectant, a surfactant and a water-soluble organic solvent in which at least one component of the surfactant is a polyoxyethylene glycol alkyl phenyl ether, the ink is heated with stirring under normal pressure in a boiling state, successively insulated thermally at a temperature lower than the boiling temperature of the ink and higher than a room temperature and cooled with screening air when used. |
