摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To diagnose the degradation of a scintillation fiber bundle due to a radiation. SOLUTION: The whole edge of a scintillation fiber block 5 constituted of scintillation fibers 4 is irradiated with light 2 from a light source 1, the light 2 which is transmitted through the respective scintillation fibers 4 and light which is emitted from the scintillation fibers 4 due to the ultraviolet component of the light 2 are composed, and an image 6 is formed. The image 6 is changed into the shape signal and the output luminance signal of the image 6 measured by an image measuring device 7, and the signals are displayed as an image and a luminance distribution on the screen of a display device 9 by an image processor 3. In this measuring method, a light image obtained at a time when the scintillation fiber block 5 is not irradiated with a radiation or it is not degraded with reference to irradiation with a radiation is compared with a light image after the scintillation fiber block 5 is subjected to a radiation, and the degradation of the scintillation fiber block is diagnosed.
