A fuel injection valve for internal combustion engines comprising a supporting member (1) which can be inserted into the engine casing and which can be deformed with a valve body that protrudes into the combustion chamber of an internal combustion engine, in addition to a fuel inlet duct (7) which is formed by a longitudinal bore hole (9) and an intersecting transversal bore hole (11) and provided with an inlet opening on a radial peripheral wall of the supporting member (1) which forms a lateral pressure connection (13) for a fuel supply line. A radial area of the peripheral wall surface of the supporting member (1) opposite the lateral pressure connection (13) has a flattened section (21).
