Actuator justification method for electromagnetic valve control of IC engines

The method is for an actuator having an armature plate located between opening and closing magnets. The plate is held by two opposing pretensioned pressure springs. The position of the rest position of the armature plate is changed by changing the pretension of the two pressure springs by a hydraulically operated expanding element. The exact middle position between the opening and closing magnets is adjusted as the position of the rest position of the armature plate. One of the two springs is formed by a valve spring.
