PURPOSE: A battery charging device of a mobile telephone is provided to increase an adaptability regardless of a kind of a battery by contracting numerous SCR elements with the battery and deciding a location of a charging terminal, a necessary voltage, an anode, and a cathode. CONSTITUTION: An FPGA(Field Programmable Gate Array)(51) decides a voltage quantity which a battery requests, a location of an anode and a cathode, and applies a voltage signal pertinent to the voltage quantity to a digital/analog converter(61). The digital/analog converter(61) converts the voltage signal into a digital signal. At this time, the digital signal is applied to a reverse terminal(-). A comparator(63) compares the digital signal and an external voltage, and outputs a difference signal of the digital signal and the external voltage, which is applied to a base terminal of a transistor(50). At this time, a current quantity which flows from a collector terminal to an emitter terminal is decided according to the difference signal, and the current quantity is applied to a charging terminal of the battery. Meanwhile, the current quantity is detected by the digital/analog converter(61), and the digital/analog converter(61) compares the current quantity with a voltage decided by the FPGA(51). When the current quantity is overload, the FPGA(51) receives an overload generation signal from the digital/analog converter(61), and controls the current quantity.
