摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic component insertion apparatus capable of allowing electronic components to be reliably contained in a carrier tape for shipment and delivery, which is used in the case that chip-type electronic components are shipped. SOLUTION: The electronic component insertion apparatus is operated to contain electronic components one by one in each containing cavity 17 formed in a carrier tape 16, which is provided with containing cavities 17 at predetermined intervals, by using an insertion nozzle 20. In order to perform this containment, the apparatus feeds the electronic components up to a position of an insertion part 15 one by one by means of an index table 12 having many product holding grooves 11 which are disposed along an outer periphery of the index table 12, and allows each electronic component, which has arrived at the insertion part 15, to be sucked to the top end of the insertion nozzle 20 to insert it into the containing cavity 17. A suction air passage 1, of which one end is made to communicate with an insertion passage 21 of the insertion part 15 and of which the other end is made to communicate with a suction pump, is formed in an index guide 14 provided at the outer edge of the index table 12, or a magnet 4 is provided on the index guide 14. Thus, each of the electronic components, which has arrived at the insertion part 15, is sucked or attracted to the side of the index guide 14.
