PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily decide an optimum hull shape, in a short time. SOLUTION: This hull shape decision method comprises the step of calculating a Cp curve of the hull shape from one hull shape satisfying inputted design conditions of the hull shape, expanding the calculated Cp curve to a B spline function, changing a control point of the B spline function to change the Cp curve, changing the hull shape from the changed Cp curve, and finding a wave making resistance of the hull shape from the changed hull shape. The hull shape calculated from the Cp curve of the control point corresponding to an minimum wave making resistance in the case that the control point is sequentially changed within the design conditions is decided as the optimum hull shape under the design conditions.
