Bending a glass sheet comprises heating the glass to a softening temperature, conveying the glass sheet along an essentially horizontal path (19) to a bending station (18) between two frames (20,21), shaping the glass sheet by pressing between the two frames and cooling the glass sheet in an suitable station. This cooling station (16) is made up of a frame (24) of rollers adapted to receive the bent glass sheet with the rollers (25) oriented parallel to the direction given to the glass sheet by the direction in which it is fed into the bending station. An Independent claim is included for the glass sheet bending device for implementing this process.
