The crate comprises a bottom (4), a surrounding side walls (34) delimiting an interior volume (36) and a side wall (35). A first flap (8) continues a lateral wall (5) adjacent to the first lateral wall. A separation tab (9) extends the first flap inwards in order to divide the interior volume into two compartments. An external locking section (15) of the first flap which extends the crate bottom is folded outside the crate onto the first flap. A retaining tongue (32) of the separation tab is cut in the external section and folded inside the crate against the separation tab.
