PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reversible thermochromism composition which shows colors of the yellow and red family during color development and sharply changes from a color-developed state to a decolorized state. SOLUTION: This reversible thermochromism composition is composed of (A) an electron-donative coloring organic compound selected from the group of pyridine, quinazorine and bisquinazorine compounds, (B) an electron-receptive compound having at least more than one kind of a phenol hydroxy group and (C) a chemical compound which is a reactive medium reversibly giving rise to an electron transfer reaction by the described compounds of (A) and (B) in a specific temperature region and characterized in that one kind of the electron-receptive compounds of (B) is selected from the group of a benzyl 4-hydroxybenzoate, a 2-phenylethyl 4-hydroxybenzoate and a 3-phenylprophyl 4-hydroxybenzoate. |
