PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form an image without deteriorating the reproducitivity in the case of both a binary image and a pseudo half tone image in an electrophotography printing operation. SOLUTION: The width (length) of strobe signals ST1-ST4 to be applied to drivers 54-1 -54-4 at the time of binary image formation is made larger than that at the time of pseudo half tone image formation so as to facilitate the toner adhesion. In contrast, the width (length) of the strobe signals ST1-ST4 is made smaller at the time of pseudo half tone image formation than that at the time of binary image formation so as to disturb the toner adhesion. |
