PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide scissors whose serviceability is enhanced by interposing an improved bearing member between first and second scissor pieces. SOLUTION: The scissors 1 include a first scissor piece 2 and a second scissor piece 3, having respective blade parts 7 and 13 and respective handle parts 9 and 11, and assembled to each other in such a manner as to be rotatable about a pivot relative to each other; and a bearing member 4 interposed between the first scissor piece 2 and the second scissor piece 3. In an open state in which the first scissor piece 2 and the second scissor piece 3 cross in the form of X, first portions 30 and 32 near the pivot overlap each other. In a closed state in which the first scissor piece 2 and the second scissor piece 3 are closed, second portions 31 and 33 closer to the handle parts 9 and 11 than the first portions 30 and 32 are also made to overlap each other, as do the first portions 30 and 32. A recess part 12 is formed in the first portion 30 and the second portion 31 of the first scissor piece 2 and a retaining plate 16 accommodating a plurality of steel balls 17 is fitted into the recess part 12 to enhance serviceability.
