<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain metal magnetic powder having fluidity and consisting of particles which has crystalline magnetic anisotropy by improving FePt nanoparticles synthesized by a polyol synthesis method to have a fct (face centered tetragonal) structure in a synthesized state. <P>SOLUTION: The metal magnetic powder having fluidity consists of metal magnetic particles containing the main component having a composition expressed by general formula (1):[T<SB>X</SB>M<SB>1-X</SB>]<SB>Y</SB>Z<SB>1-Y</SB>, and the balance impurities inevitable for the manufacture. The powder has 10 to 100% volume proportion of the ferromagnetic structure (proportion of face centered tetragonal crystals) measured by Moessbauer spectroscopy, ≥20 emu/g saturation magnetization at room temperature and ≤30 nm average primary particle size by observation by a transmission electron microscope (TEM). In formula (1), T represents one or two kinds of Fe and Co; M represents one or two kinds of Pt or Pd; Z represents at least one kind selected from the group consisting of Ag, Cu, Bi, Sb and Pb; X ranges from 0.3 to 0.7; and Y ranges from 0.7 to 1.0. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
