PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an α-glucosidase inhibitor containing acteoside as an active ingredient.

SOLUTION: This α-glucosidase inhibitor contains the acteoside as the active ingredient. Preferably, the α-glucosidase inhibitor contains the acteoside obtained from vegetation water derived in a process for producing olive oil from a fruit of Olea europaea L as the active ingredient.
