<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a supplement for a dog having excellent prophylaxis and alleviation of gastrointestinal diseases of the dog, readily suppliable to the dog by an owner and willingly edible even by various dogs having difficult palatability by paying attention to importance of enhancing each functionality of the stomach and intestines in the prophylaxis or alleviation of the gastrointestinal diseases in the dog and taking the palatability or form so as to reasonably and continuously supply the supplement to the dog into sufficient consideration. <P>SOLUTION: The tablet type supplement for the dog is obtained by a formulation such that a brewer's yeast having functions to promote the digestion in the stomach, a bifidus bacterium which is a good bacterium in the intestines and a faecalis bacterium and Bacillus natto that are live cell preparations promoting establishment and proliferation of the bifidus bacterium are simultaneously formulated and an oligosaccharide and a tea extract are further formulated. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
