<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tending system for a pet animal( dog ) capable of quick communication with its owner or the like when it is brought into an animal hospital or health center in the absence of the owner. <P>SOLUTION: A collar for the pet animal( dog ) 1 comprises a collar body 4 comprising a belt 2 and a length-adjusting tool 3 and a non-contact-type IC chip 5 embedded in the collar body 4. The IC chip 5 includes an unrewritable memory region 6 exclusive for read-out and a rewritable memory region 7. A pet ID code is stored in the region 6. In an animal hospital 13 or the like, the pet ID code for the dog brought thereinto using a handy terminal 24 is read, accessing, via the Internet, a dog-tending database 22 in a health center, thus enabling quickly obtaining information on the owner and his contact address through the ID code, thereby enabling quick contact with the owner. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
