PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cup holder capable of removing a cap while a plastic bottle is placed in a storage recessed part when the plastic bottle is used, for example, as an article. SOLUTION: The cup holder 1 is provided with an outer member 3; and an inner member 7 vertically movable relative to the outer member 3. The inner member 7 has a disc-like placement plate 9 and a plurality of (four in the embodiment) engagement claws 11 are circumferentially formed on the end edge of the placement plate 9 with an equal gap by an integral hinge 10 as a hinge part. A plurality of pairs of projections 12 each having three projections in one pair are formed on the inner surface of the outer member 3 at a position where the engagement claw 11 can be contacted when the outer member 3 is descended.
