<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To safely manage stored information in response to an illicit access or physical theft without increasing a user's labor or management cost. <P>SOLUTION: This information management system comprises an information management server 1 connected to a plurality of information storage hosts 2 through a network 3, in which a division means 12 owned by the information management server 1 divides information to fragments at the time of storing the information, and the information storage hosts 2 store the fragments received from the information server 1 in storage means 33.
