PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a good ozone addition effect with a small amount of ozone addition by exactly controlling the amount of the ozone addition by an inexpensive means in subjecting water to be treated to membrane filtration treatment by adding ozone to the water to be treated for the purpose of maintaining membrane performance and lowering the chemical cleaning frequency of the membrane. SOLUTION: In subjecting the water to be treated to the membrane filter treatment after adding the ozone to the water to be treated, the amount of the ozone addition to the water to be treated is controlled based on the pressure value and/or the increase rate thereof in the membrane filtration treatment.
