摘要 An injector leakage monitoring method for an LPI(Liquefied Petroleum gas Injection) vehicle is provided to reduce unburned hydrocarbon without causing the deterioration in starting of an engine upon occurrence of fuel leakage. An injector leakage monitoring method for an LPI vehicle, comprises a first step(S130) of monitoring the time taken for starting of an LPI engine; a second step(S150) of comparing the engine starting time with a target value; a third step step(S170) of cumulatively counting the excessive counter if the time exceeds the target value, and subtracting the counter and storing new value in a control unit if the time less than the target value and hysteresis is satisfied; a fourth step of comparing the cumulatively counted value with a reference value; a fifth step(S180) of suppressing fuel injection even when an engine start signal is generated, if the cumulatively counted value is greater than the reference value; and a sixth step(S210) of monitoring transition of engine RPM during suppression of fuel injection, and starting fuel injection from the point of time where engine RPM starts decreasing after complete engine explosion. In the fifth step, fuel injection is suppressed only if the coolant temperature is in a predetermined range in cases that the cumulatively counted value exceeds the reference value.
