A descending device for escape is provided to make a rope descend at a proper speed regardless of a user's weight, and to reduce braking force in the case of a user having a light weight to make the rope descend at a proper speed. A descending device for escape includes a rope wheel(2) and a braking spring(3). A connection hook(111) is integrally formed on one side of a case(1). A rope winding shaft having a rope(4) wound thereon is installed between two support plates that are installed by hinge-shafts inside the case of the rope wheel to be able to pivot. The braking spring is installed on the outer side of the rope wheel, and pressurizes the rope wound on the rope winding shaft to brake the movement of the rope. The braking spring comprises a braking portion(31) and a coupling pin support portion(32).
