PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a trailing arm type suspension capable of preventing the generation of an excessive load on a power line due to rocking of a trailing arm when absorbing vibrations or impact from a road surface. SOLUTION: In the trailing arm type suspension 1, a sun gear 14 of a planetary gear speed reducing mechanism 13 is connected to an axle shaft 9, and a carrier 16 of the planetary gear speed reducing mechanism 13 is connected to a hub 11. A ring gear 17 of the planetary gear speed reducing mechanism 13 is connected to an axle housing 8. The axle housing 8 is rotatably attached to a trailing arm 4 through a bearing 7. Between a vehicle body 2 and the axle housing 8, a radius rod 19 is provided so as to regulate rotations of the axles housing 8 itself while permitting relative rotations of the trailing arm 4 and the axle housing 8 following rocking of the trailing arm 4.
