PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a clamp device and a method in which shaft force adjustment are made easy, and a disk device having the clamp device. SOLUTION: The clamp device fixing a disk to a spindle motor rotating the disk has a clamp ring laminated on the disk, a screw for fixing the clamp ring to the spindle motor, a shaft force changing means which changes relation between screwing force by the screw and shaft force applied actually to the disk to a non-linear and which has an elastic part having a weaker spring constant than the spring constant of the clamp ring.
