<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a secondary battery capable of enhancing current collecting performance, without increasing the number of collecting tabs. <P>SOLUTION: This secondary battery is structured by storing a wound electrode body 4 in a casing body 11. The non-coated end part 49 of a positive electrode 41 protrudes to form a protrusion 49 at one end part out of both end parts in the winding axis of the wound electrode body 4, and the non-coated end part 49 of a negative electrode 43 protrudes to form the protrusion 48 at the other end part. In addition, collection assisting parts 5, formed by applying ultrasonic welding to adjacent non-coated parts 49, 49, are formed on both protrusions 48, 48 respectively. Collecting tabs 2, 3 are attached to the positive electrode 41 and the negative electrode 43 respectively, the tip parts of both collecting tabs 2, 3 protrude to the outside of the casing body 11, and a pair of positive and negative electrode terminal parts 20, 30 are each formed by the both tip parts. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
