PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a motor-driven compressor capable of suppressing a temperature of a drive circuit becoming excessively low.SOLUTION: A motor-driven compressor 10 includes: a housing 11 in which a refrigerant is sucked; a compression part 12 and an electric motor 13 accommodated in the housing 11; an inverter 31 arranged at a position thermally coupled to the housing 11; and a control unit 55 for controlling the inverter 31. Here, the control unit 55 switches a drive mode of the inverter 31 from a two-phase modulation mode to a three-phase modulation mode, on the basis of the fact that an inverter temperature has become a switching trigger temperature or less in a condition where the drive mode of the inverter 31 is the two-phase modulation mode, so that the inverter temperature does not become lower than an operation lower limit temperature.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
