A method and device for predicting fuel consumption. The method comprises: determining, according to an electronic map, at least one type of target road condition information of a road to be predicted (S400); for each type of target road condition information, calling, according to a preset correspondence between road condition information and fuel consumption models, a fuel consumption model corresponding to the target road condition information, and calculating, according to the target road condition information and the corresponding fuel consumption model, the fuel consumption in each target road condition of the road to be predicted (S410); and determining a sum of the fuel consumption in all the target road conditions of the road to be predicted as total fuel consumption of the road to be predicted (S420). In the method, considering that the road to be predicted may have different types of target road condition information, the preset corresponding fuel consumption model is called to predict the fuel consumption, so that the eventually obtained total fuel consumption is closer to actual fuel consumption, and thus the prediction is of higher accuracy. |
