An imaging device (1) according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises: an imaging element driving unit (34) for rotating an imaging element (33) around a prescribed rotary axis passing through the center of the imaging surface of the imaging element (33); an angular speed detecting unit (38) for detecting the rotating angular speed of the imaging device in relation to the prescribed rotary axis; a camera-shake correction control unit (401) for controlling the imaging element driving unit so as to decrease shaking caused by a change in orientation of the imaging device around the prescribed rotary axis on the basis of the rotating angular speed; and a shutter selection unit (402) for selecting either a mechanical shutter (31) or an electronic shutter for the imaging element in accordance with the rotating angular speed. |
