<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus combining image quality with miniaturization. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus is provided with: a first support roll supporting an intermediate transfer body from inside in a secondary transfer position; a second support roll supporting the intermediate transfer body from inside on a upstream side of the secondary transfer position in the moving direction of the intermediate transfer body and supporting, in cooperation with the first support roll, the intermediate transfer body between the position where it is supported by the second support roll and the secondary transfer position so as to form a flat surface; and a transport path provided with a curved part for delivering the transfer material from a storing position where the transfer material is stored and transporting it toward the second transferring position.
