<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an interface device capable of varying the operating speed and saving the energy. <P>SOLUTION: Each of expansion circuits 34C, 34M, 34Y, 34K respectively provided to CMYK colors can be independently switched to be in an operating condition or stopping condition. Connection between the expansion circuits 34C, 34M, 34Y, 34K and line buffers 42C, 42M, 44Y, 44K respectively provided to CMYK colors can be controlled by a selector 46. When the high speed expansion processing is necessary, all the expansion circuits are operated to process the color data of the CMYK colors in parallel, respectively. When the high speed processing is unnecessary, each color data is processed by either one of the expansion circuits in a time sharing manner and the other expansion circuits are stopped. As the line buffers connected to the expansion circuits are switched in a time sharing manner, the color data of each color after the expansion is output to a printer through the line buffer corresponding to the respective color. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
