PRODUCTION APPARATUS FOR TETRAHYDROBORATE AND PRODUCTION METHOD OF TETRAHYDROBORATE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To continuously produce tetrahydroborate in high yield in the production of tetrahydroborate by allowing a mixture containing borate and alkaline earth metal to react in a gaseous hydrogen atmosphere.

SOLUTION: The apparatus is equipped with: a cylinder which constitutes a reactor and has a pressurized atmosphere of gaseous hydrogen inside; a source material supply chamber to supply the mixture to the cylinder, the chamber which is airtightly connected to one end of the cylinder and has a pressurized atmosphere of gaseous hydrogen; a screw flight which is disposed along one end to the other end of the cylinder and sends the mixture supplied into the cylinder to the other end under pressure; a heating means to heat the cylinder; and a product recovery chamber which is airtightly connected to the other end of the cylinder and recovers the tetrahydroborate produced in the cylinder.
