The sound-reducing road surface construction comprises, when viewed in an upward direction, a dense foundation layer (1), a layer of coarse open asphalt concrete (2) with a pore content of at least 20 per cent and of which at least 80 per cent of the granulate has a granular size of at least 20 mm and at least one layer of very open asphalt concrete (3). A sruface layer (4) is provided of fine very open asphalt concrete. The granules of the layer of coarse open asphalt concrete are determined by a sieve curve located within a specific area. Those of the layer of very open asphalt concrete are determined by a sieve curve located in a further specific area and those of the layer of fine open asphalt concrete are likewise determined.
