PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus that allows an operator to more accurately grasp the remaining life of a photoreceptor according to the depth of recesses on the surface of the photoreceptor.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus 100 comprises: a photoreceptor 1 that has a plurality of recesses each independently formed on the surface; a charging member 2; a power source E1 that applies a charging voltage; an exposure device 3; a developing device 4; a transfer device 12 that transfers a toner image to a transfer material; and a control part 20. The control part 20 applies a charging voltage consisting only of a DC voltage to the charging member 2 in a test operation to charge the photoreceptor 1, and thereby forming a test image.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 13 |
