PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To acquire an ignition device which suppresses electric discharge which is unnecessary for ignition in a high voltage path from a booster to an ignition plug and radiation noise.SOLUTION: An ignition device 30 includes: an AC power supply 1 for generating an AC voltage; an ignition plug 200 arranged in a combustion chamber of an internal combustion engine, and for generating electric discharge for igniting air-fuel mixture in the combustion chamber by discharge voltage; and a coil 100 for barrier discharge including a booster 40 for boosting the AC voltage to the discharge voltage, a concave connection part 5 in which the ignition plug 200 is inserted, internal wiring 41 for connecting the booster 40 and the connection part 5, an insulator 6 for covering at least the connection part 5 and the internal wiring 41 and an electric conductor 7 for covering the periphery of the insulator 6.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3 |
