PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording material which shows sufficiently high sensitivity/Dmax and a low incidence of blush in the texture part and high texture shelf stability.

SOLUTION: This recording material has a recording layer formed on a support and the recording layer contains a microcapsule with a volume standard median size of 1 to 1.5 μm and a span value of not more than 0.75.
