PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve a permanent magnet synchronous machine which can exhibit excellent performance depending on the switching of windings.SOLUTION: A permanent magnet synchronous machine is provided with a first stator winding group (24) having first windings (24U, 24V, 24W) of single-phase or multi-phase, where the number of turns of the first windings (24U, 24V, 24W) of each phase is a first number of turns (N1), a second winding group (28) having second windings (28U, 28V, 28W) of each phase connected in series with each one end of the first windings (24U, 24V, 24W) of each phase, where the second windings (28U, 28V, 28W) have the conductor cross-sectional area or the current capacity larger than that of the first windings (24U, 24V, 24W), and the number of turns is a second number of turns (N2) smaller than the first number of turns (N1), and a rotor having a permanent magnet.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
