PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology to determine a rotational speed of an optical lens in a probe used by an optical interference image diagnostic apparatus, which can be utilized for image diagnosis.SOLUTION: From polarization interference data acquired from a polarization separation detection circuit at a timing indicating each angle while an optical transmission/reception part is rotated, a reflection intensity value from a predetermined region in the probe of the optical transmission/reception part at each timing is detected. Based on the reflection intensity value at each timing, a rotational speed of the optical transmission/reception part is determined.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
