PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the size and weight of a forward/reverse traveling changeover mechanism which is disposed downstream of a crank-type continuously variable transmission.SOLUTION: A forward/reverse traveling changeover mechanism S comprises a planetary gear mechanism P which is provided between an output shaft 12 of a continuously variable transmission T and a leg shaft 43. A drive force of the output shaft 12 is directly transmitted to a sun gear 44 of the planetary gear mechanism P, and the drive force of the output shaft 12 is transmitted to a ring gear 46 of the planetary gear mechanism P via a gear row composed of a plurality of gears, a forward clutch Cf, and a reverse clutch Cr. Since only a part of the drive force of the output shaft 12 is transmitted to a power transmission route in which the forward clutch Cf and the reverse clutch Cr are arranged, a clutch which is small in a torque transmission capacity can be employed to the forward clutch Cf and the reverse clutch Cr compared with the case where the forward/reverse changeover mechanism S is disposed on the leg shaft 43, and thus the size and weight of a power transmission device for a vehicle can be reduced.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7 |
